🗜️ PNG Compressor

Make PNG files smaller by scaling them down — PNG is lossless, so size comes from dimensions.

PNG is a lossless format — there's no quality dial to turn. Shrinking the image dimensions is what actually makes the file smaller, and the picture stays perfectly crisp.

Smaller scale = smaller file.

  4. Need it even smaller? Drop the slider further — 50% quarters the pixel count.

FAQs

Why a scale slider instead of quality?

PNG is a lossless format, so there's no quality dial — shrinking dimensions is what actually reduces the file. Fewer pixels means less data to store, and because nothing is discarded, edges stay razor-sharp.

Will the image look worse?

The pixels that remain are pixel-perfect copies of the original. It only looks smaller — there's no blur or blockiness like you'd get from JPEG compression.

Is my PNG uploaded anywhere?

No. This tool runs entirely in your browser — your file is never sent to any server.
